Ingredients

  • 2 slices sourdough or artisan bread
  • 1 ball fresh burrata cheese
  • ½ cup fresh blackberries
  • 1–2 tbsp honey (or hot honey)
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • Fresh basil or mint leaves (optional)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Freshly cracked black pepper
  • Balsamic glaze (optional)

Step 1: Toast the Bread

  1. Heat a pan over medium heat or use a toaster.
  2. Lightly brush bread slices with olive oil.
  3. Toast until golden brown and crispy on the outside.

Step 2: Prepare the Blackberries

  1. Wash and pat dry the blackberries.
  2. Slightly mash half of them with a fork for a jam-like texture.
  3. Keep the rest whole for topping.

  1. Tear the burrata open gently.
  2. Spread the creamy center over the warm toast.

Step 4: Add Toppings

  1. Spoon the mashed blackberries over the burrata.
  2. Add whole blackberries on top.
