Ingredients
- 2 slices bread (sourdough or sandwich bread)
- 2–3 slices turkey
- 2 slices bacon (cooked crispy)
- 2 slices cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or Swiss)
- 2 tbsp huckleberry jam
- 1 tbsp butter
- Optional: a handful of arugula or spinach
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Bacon
Cook the bacon in a pan over medium heat until crispy. Place on paper towels to remove excess oil.
Step 2: Prepare the Bread
Spread butter on the outside of both bread slices.
Step 3: Add the Filling
On the inside of one slice, spread huckleberry jam. Add cheese, turkey slices, crispy bacon, and optional greens. Top with the second slice of bread.
Step 4: Grill the Sandwich
Heat a pan over medium heat. Place the sandwich in the pan and cook for 3–4 minutes per side until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Step 5: Serve
