Sourdough Seed Crackers

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sourdough discard
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup mixed seeds (e.g., chia, flax, sesame, sunflower)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2–3 tbsp water (as needed)
  • Optional: herbs like rosemary or thyme for extra flavor

👩‍🍳 Step-by-Step Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat Oven

Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F).
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.


2️⃣ Mix Dry Ingredients

In a bowl, combine:

  • flour
  • mixed seeds
  • salt
  • herbs (if using)

3️⃣ Add Wet Ingredients

Add sourdough discard, olive oil, and water.
Mix to form a stiff dough. Add water little by little if needed.


4️⃣ Roll Out Dough

On a floured surface, roll the dough very thin (about 1/8 inch).
Cut into squares or desired shapes.


5️⃣ Arrange and Bake

Place crackers on the baking sheet.
Bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden and crisp.


6️⃣ Cool and Store

Cool completely on a wire rack.
Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
