Step-by-Step Recipe
1. Prepare the Bread
Spread butter on the outside of each sourdough bread slice.
(Optional: spread a thin layer of mayonnaise for extra crispy texture.)
2. Add the Cheese
Place cheese slices between the two bread slices to make a sandwich.
3. Heat the Pan
Place a pan or skillet on medium heat.
4. Grill the Sandwich
Place the sandwich in the pan and cook for 3–4 minutes until the bottom becomes golden and crispy.
5. Flip and Cook
Flip the sandwich and cook the other side for another 3–4 minutes until the cheese melts.
6. Serve
Remove from the pan, cut in half, and serve hot.
