Delicious Spinach Tuna Melt with Gooey Cheese

Ingredients

  • 1 can tuna (drained)
  • 1 cup fresh spinach (chopped)
  • 2 slices bread (sourdough or sandwich bread)
  • 2 slices cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or Swiss)
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp onion (finely chopped, optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: a little lemon juice

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Tuna Mixture
In a bowl, add the drained tuna, chopped spinach, mayonnaise, onion, salt, and black pepper. Mix everything well. Add a few drops of lemon juice if you like extra freshness.

Step 2: Prepare the Bread
Spread a thin layer of butter on the outside of each bread slice.

Step 3: Assemble the Sandwich
Place the tuna-spinach mixture on one slice of bread. Add the cheese slices on top.
