- 12 thin slices deli ham (around 12 oz / 340 g)
- 6 slices Swiss cheese, cut in half
or 1½ cups shredded Swiss cheese
For the Butter Topping
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon honey (optional for a touch of sweetness)
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds (optional)
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley (optional)
📝 Ingredient Tips
Biscuit Dough:
Flaky-style refrigerated biscuits work best because they create a soft yet slightly crisp texture.
Ham:
You can use honey ham, smoked ham, or even leftover baked ham.
Swiss Cheese:
Swiss melts smoothly and has a mild flavor. You can also substitute with provolone, mozzarella, or cheddar if preferred.
Dijon Mustard:
Adds a little tang and depth. You can skip it if you want a milder taste.
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat the Oven
Set your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2️⃣ Prepare the Biscuits
Separate the biscuit dough pieces.
Slice each biscuit horizontally in half to create a top and bottom layer.
This will give you 16 biscuit halves.
3️⃣ Assemble the Sliders
Place the bottom halves of the biscuits in the prepared baking dish.
Top each piece with:
- Folded slices of ham
- Half a slice of Swiss cheese
Place the biscuit tops over the fillings.
4️⃣ Make the Butter Glaze
In a small bowl, whisk together:
- Melted butter
- Dijon mustard
- Worcestershire sauce
- Honey
- Garlic powder
Brush the mixture generously over the biscuit tops.
Sprinkle with poppy seeds and parsley if desired.
5️⃣ Bake
Place the dish in the oven and bake 15–18 minutes, until the biscuits turn golden and the cheese is melted.
If the tops brown too quickly, loosely cover the dish with foil.
6️⃣ Rest and Serve
Allow the sliders to rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
Enjoy them warm for the best flavor and texture.
