Ingredients
- 1 cup sourdough discard
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4โ1/2 cup warm water (as needed)

- Make the dough
In a bowl, mix sourdough discard, flour, yogurt, oil, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
- Knead
Add warm water gradually and knead into a soft, smooth dough.
- Rest the dough
Cover and let it rest for 1โ2 hours (or at least 30 minutes if short on time).
- Divide & shape
Divide into small balls and roll each into oval or round naan shapes.
- Cook on pan
Heat a skillet/tawa on high heat. Place naan and cook until bubbles form, then flip.
- Get charred spots
Press lightly and cook until golden with slight char marks.
- Add butter
Brush with butter or garlic butter.
- Serve hot
Enjoy with curry, yogurt, or chutney.
