Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter (softened) 🧈
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup raspberry or strawberry jam 🍓
  • ½ cup chocolate spread (optional) 🍫
  • Extra powdered sugar for dusting

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Dough

In a bowl, mix butter and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.

Step 2: Add Wet Ingredients

Add egg yolk and vanilla extract, then mix well.

Step 3: Add Dry Ingredients

Add flour and salt and mix until a soft dough forms.

Step 4: Chill the Dough

Wrap the dough and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Step 5: Roll and Cut

Roll the dough to about ¼ inch thickness.
Cut heart shapes using cookie cutters.
Cut a small heart hole in half of the cookies.
