Keto Buns (Low-Carb & High-Protein)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 2 tbsp coconut flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • ¼ cup melted butter or coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp psyllium husk powder (optional, for texture)
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • Sesame seeds (optional, for topping)

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2: Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine almond flour, coconut flour, baking powder, salt, and psyllium husk (if using).

Step 3: Mix Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, whisk together eggs, melted butter (or coconut oil), and apple cider vinegar.

Step 4: Combine Ingredients
Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms. It should be slightly sticky but moldable.

Step 5: Shape the Buns
Divide the dough into 6–8 equal portions and shape each into a round bun. Place on the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top if desired.

Step 6: Bake
Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the tops are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Step 7: Cool
Let the buns cool for 5–10 minutes before slicing.
