Ingredients
- 2 lbs chicken wings (split, tips removed)
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika (optional)
- Cooking spray (optional)
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Wings
Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove extra moisture. This helps make the wings crispy.
Step 2: Season the Wings
Place the wings in a large bowl. Add baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Toss well until the wings are evenly coated.
Step 3: Preheat the Air Fryer
Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 3–5 minutes.
Step 4: Arrange the Wings
Place the seasoned wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding so the air can circulate properly.
Step 5: Cook the Wings
Air fry the wings for 20 minutes, flipping them halfway through cooking to ensure even crispiness.
Step 6: Make Them Extra Crispy
Increase the temperature to 400°F (200°C) and cook for another 5–8 minutes until the wings are golden brown and crispy.
Step 7: Serve
Remove the wings from the air fryer and serve hot. You can enjoy them plain or toss them in your favorite sauce like buffalo, BBQ, or honey garlic.
