Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets (skin on)
  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • Salt and black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 tsp paprika (optional)
  • Lemon wedges for serving
  • Fresh herbs (like parsley or dill) for garnish

Step-by-Step Recipe

Step 1:
Pat salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

Step 2:
Heat olive oil or butter in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.

Step 3:
Place salmon fillets skin-side down in the hot skillet. Cook for 4–5 minutes without moving them, until the skin is crispy.

Step 4:
Flip the fillets carefully and cook for another 3–4 minutes, depending on thickness, until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.

Step 5:
Remove from skillet and let rest for 1–2 minutes.

Step 6:
Serve with lemon wedges and garnish with fresh herbs.
